WHAT TO EXPECT
WAXING SERVICES:
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR WAX:
To ensure the best results arrive to your appointment with clean skin free of lotion.
Your hair should be at least 1/2 inch long. If your hair is longer than 3/4 inch you should trim your hair prior to your appointment. (Just be careful not to trim too short.) This will make your waxing service more comfortable.
If you are using Retina-A, Accutane, or any other acne product or medication that will affect your skin please notify me before your appointment. When using Retina-A stop use 1 week prior to your appointment. When using Accutane it must be at least 3 months since you stopped use before you begin waxing. Please check with your dermatologist as well.
WAX BEFORE & AFTER CARE:
Exfoliate at least 3 times per week and the night before your appointment. This will eliminate any dead skin buildup allowing the hair to come out with ease resulting in a smooth long lasting wax. Exfoliating will also greatly reduce your chances for ingrown hairs.
Do not tan or use pools and hot tubs within 48 hours before or after your wax.
If you are receiving a bikini service and you are on your period at the time of your appointment, no worries. Just come prepared a with a fresh tampon.
To get the best results and minimize ingrown hairs shower daily, avoid wearing tight clothing, and follow the aftercare regime prescribed.
After each wax your hair will grow back softer, thinner and more sparse, making each appointment less painful. Exfoliating before/after your wax will help prevent ingrown hairs and help give you an even better result. We recommend coming in every 4-5 weeks without shaving in between.
